Staying True to Yourself During the Holidays
A Gentle Holiday Challenge for Your Authentic Self
Over the past few Full Moon workshops, we’ve had some wonderful conversations about authenticity—what it truly means to live from our real, inner self rather than from old conditioning or the expectations of others. Many of you shared how meaningful it felt to reconnect with the parts of yourself that often get pushed aside in daily life.
As we explored together, we identified and cleared some of the subtle, hidden obstacles that quietly shape our thoughts, emotions, and behavior. So many of these patterns operate automatically that we don’t even realize we’re being pulled away from who we really are. And yet, simply seeing them begins to loosen their hold.
Awareness is always the first step toward meaningful change.
During the holidays, we’re surrounded by family dynamics, social obligations, expectations, and roles we’ve played for years. It’s a perfect time to gently notice:
-
When you feel yourself slipping into “automatic” behavior
-
When you defer to others’ opinions without checking in with yourself
-
When you hesitate to show up as the person you’re becoming
-
When an old identity feels too small for who you are now.
So here’s a simple Holiday Awareness Challenge for you
Just observe yourself.
-
No changing anything.
-
No explaining anything.
-
Just notice.
Notice your thoughts, emotions, reactions, choices, and moments of discomfort. Notice the times when you feel aligned with your authentic self—and the times when you don’t.
If you feel inspired, jot down a few notes or journal your observations. These insights will become incredibly valuable material for our upcoming workshops.
For now, the only purpose is to strengthen your awareness.
Everything begins with that.
Grateful to share this healing space with you,
Trish
